Weight loss exercises for arthritis: Try these three easy moves to tighten up abs

Arthritis is a common condition affecting more than 10 million people in the UK.

It can cause debilitating pain, and even the simplest of movements can be hard to perform.

But those with arthritis also looking to lose weight in the New Year need not miss out.

There are a number of simple exercises you can still do to work core, upper body and lower body - even Tai Chi.

The recommendations come from Arthritis Foundation, and these three exercises benefit the front and underlying abs.

Modified Plank

Lie on your stomach and raise yourself up so you’re resting on your forearms and knees.

Your elbows should be under your shoulders.

Pull your abs tight for three deep breaths, then slowly return to the starting position.

Can apple cider vinegar, which has been proven to aid weight loss, lower blood sugar levels and reduce the risk of heart disease, help arthritis too?
